Throughout the day, we’ll be featuring images available via Prints for Refugees (@PrintsforRefugees), a fundraising initiative to benefit the millions of people around the world displaced by violence and political unrest. All proceeds from print sales go to Doctors of the World (@doctorsoftheworld), an organization that provides healthcare to refugees in crisis. Today’s takeover is by #Paris-based photographer/filmmaker Etienne Perrone (@etienneperrone), who tells us, “I like to create a sensation of strangeness, of suspended and cinematographic moments. Like if one observed a place just before or just after something.” He continues, “I love USA and went there 2 times for almost a month each to drive and take pictures. This is in San Francisco. Juke has since gone under, so the print issue isn’t available, but you can download a pdf of the magazine here.
