The inclusion of bungee cord-like elastic bands for the seat and back, normally reserved for luggage racks and sports equipment of the period, make the chair a very early example of the application of such materials in seating design.

‘Bellwether’ explores a tool that has brought an unprecedented number of public voices to the 2016 election season: Twitter. Roopa Vasudevan built a script in Python that extrapolates tweets geocoded to Ohio, cataloguing everything tweeted about the presidential primary in Ohio between August 2015 and July 12, 2016.
